The Sonja Henie Lodge #29 Reno, Nevada was founded October 9, 1971.

In choosing a lodge name to honor a famous Nordic woman, we choose to honor the world famous 20th century Norwegian
skating and cinema star, Sonja Henie. Champion figure skater and movie star, Sonja Henie was one of the most popular
celebrities of the thirties.

Meetings are held every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m.

Our Meetings incorporate the practice of the Norwegian language; hands-on activities such as rosmaling and Hardanger
embroidery; and Norwegian history, culture and common songs such as Hurra for Deg (the Norwegian Happy Birthday song).
